FOUNDER & OWNER

Erin Barbossa, LMSW

She/Her/Hers

Erin founded Motherhood Supported with a conviction for helping mothers get the support they need to feel relief, heal, and live peacefully. Erin has always challenged the stigma around mental health issues.   She wonders why do we go to the dentist 2x a year but we have no routine mental healthcare?  She invites moms to feel welcomed to psychotherapy and the nurturing, safe environment it creates.  Erin became a therapist after working as an Associate Producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show and says she is still helping women to live their best lives.

Erin received a dual degree from Syracuse University in Television, Radio, and Film Production & Psychology. She went on to receive her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in children and families. Two of her favorite trainings have been Internal Family Systems, and with Postpartum Support International &  2020MOM: Certificate of Completion in Maternal Mental Health.
