Children with High Needs

Realizing that your child has high needs can be an emotional experience.

We’ve got your back.

Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delay, Epilepsy, Severe Allergies, Cancer, Type 1 Diabetes, Learning Disability… we know the list goes on.

Learning that your child has high needs can be an emotional experience.  Maybe you’re starting to seek services to support your child, or you’re managing your feelings about how your life will change.  Whether your child has severe allergies, autism, or another challenge you deserve support too.

How can a therapist help?

It’s normal to have intense feelings about your child’s high needs or diagnosis. Leaning on your friends and family during this time is important, but you may also benefit from seeing a licensed therapist to process this complex experience. A safe neutral environment is supportive when you are considering how to take care of your child and yourself.

Therapists also use evidence based interventions to help improve mood, increase sleep quality, and decrease irritably.
